Tutorial: Design Your Own Geo-Art

There’s a real art to creating a shaped geo-trail – and now, courtesy of America’s Dirtbag Geocaching Society, you can follow this step-by-step video tutorial.

What you choose to design is up to you but It’s Not About The Numbers strongly suggests keeping it simple to start with.

If you need inspiration, check out this earlier post on Kim Runion’s Snoopy designGeocaching As Seen From Space, a Facebook group dedicated to shaped geo-trails; website Geocache Trails; and the dozens of GC.com bookmarks on the subject.

A FEW FAVOURITES:

NEVADA’S HEAD ALIEN (GC253ZN) & UFO (GC32PCT) TRAILS

UTAH’S KOKOPELLI (GC29A8E), left, and, above, SWEDEN’S RAGNHILD TRAIL

CALIFORNIA’S ROUTE 66 TRAIL (GC2J17A), above, and SWEDEN’S CC12 TRAIL (GC3MWYJ), right
