Thanks to American author Vince Migliore (GC handle: FolsomNatural), we have FIVE more copies of his new title Creative Containers For Geocaching (worth US$9.95 each) with which to reward lucky readers.
The 122-page manual features 19 DIY ideas, ranging from how to jazz up that bison tube to caches made from a hollowed-out log, a converted birdhouse and a dummy security camera.
In our July competition, we asked for photos of your geo-handiwork; however, this time we’re after the best five answers to this question:
If money (or time) was no object, what would your ultimate cache placement be?”
Would you follow Richard Garriott’s lead and place a cache on the International Space Station (GC1BE91)? Near the resting place of the ill-fated Titanic ocean liner? Or turn one of your properties into a spooky multi (GC2B024)? Or can you come up with an idea that would top his efforts completely?

The majority of multicaches that I’ve ever found have had consecutive stages only hundreds of feet apart, with the occasional one that’s maybe a mile away. I’ve always dreamed of creating an epic multicache, one whose stages would span the globe, and take you to all of the extraordinary places this world has to see. Just think how crazy it would be! You find the first stage and plug in the coordinates, only to find that your next destination is 10,000 miles away and requires a plane to get there!

That’s fine, Patrick … Comments on this page will be counted an entries too. BTW: I love your idea. Have heard of an old series of trads that were created in this spirit but they were meant to be completed by teams in different countries, with each member claiming the finds – even if they’d never been to GZ.

And my entry is:
A geocache with its own perpetual power system. It would be in the shape of a sphinx inside a labyrinth. The cacher would have to answer a question to get it to open. The cache would dispense one pound of solid gold whenever someone answered the question correctly.
